This medium/large Base Dish is designed to hold sand in an aquarium setting. Standing alone, or providing a sturdy base to one or more stacked Towers, an upright Tunnel, or single Topper, these Base Dishes are versatile in their applications. Place upside-down upon a Tower or vertically-set Tunnel to create a seascape hide reminiscent of the alluring Orient. Or simply use as a feeding dish for reptiles, rodents and arachnids.

Use to facilitate the feeding of sinking pellets in an isolated sand-filled environment when paired with Tower(s), a Topper or vertical Tunnel to allow you to keep sinking pellet debris from falling into the small crevices of the common coarse substrates. Pellet debris allowed to disintegrate into the standard aquarium substrate contributes to deteriorating water quality as well as potential damage to the delicate mouths of many of our aquatic friends.
